Bible Teaching

It is of the utmost importance that we are honest and humble in our encounters with God's Holy Word!

Biblical orthodoxy without compassion is surely the ugliest thing in the world." - Francis Schaeffer

The Bible is to inform us in order to allow the work of the Spirit to bend us and conform us to God's will and standards. We do not dare seek to bend His precepts to fit our ideas or agendas.

Inductive Bible Study Basics

This form can also be used to teach any book of the Bible, even If you are not experienced! Inductive Bible Study is a method for learning how to know the Bible for all its worth by our best efforts. We do this through learning the tools and skills to help us observe the text, dig out the meaning, and then apply it to our lives.

Exegetical Bible Study Methods

This method of studying the Bible is to prepare lessons or sermons. Or perhaps you want to dive into the riches of God's most precious Word personally; this method is for you too.

How to Outline Scripture

Outlining the Bible is the primary means to prepare one to teach the precepts of Scripture in a clear and logical way. This is designed for the pastor, Bible study leader, or curriculum writer to learn how to examine the text and then draw out what is there in a logical and systematic way.

The Cheat Sheet

Here are all of the inductive steps laid out for you to use to get the most out of your Bible studies! Keep a copy of this tucked in your Bible. Feel free to make copies of this for your personal use; more are available in our book, Into Thy Word!

How to Start and Lead Bible Studies

This primer is intended to help you and your church to start, lead, develop, grow, and manage Bible studies. From small group Bible studies as well as larger Bible Studies to even very large Bible studies, the principals apply to both small and large groups. The difference is how you lead and structure them, while all are Bible-centered led by godly prepared teachers.

How to Lead Inductive Bible Studies

How to incorporate an "Inductive" type of study into your home or church Bible study If you lead a Bible Study, you are called to teach the Bible, not pool ignorance! We are to lead our learners to the wonders and principles of the passage at hand. You can learn to do this and do it well! You can show the precepts, ideas, and truths of our Lord. You can be the mentor and disciple maker that our Lord has called. You are to lift up the cross, the Person of Christ, and what He has done. You are also to show others what you have learned and still be growing yourself, to show the wonder and truth of a life that affects all of our being.

How To Prepare Bible Study Questions

How you can prepare your own insightful Bible Study Questions This lesson is designed to prepare you to form your own inductive Bible study questions-the kind of questions that stimulate discussion and excite people to learn and grow in the Word and faith.

To be honest careful students of His Word, we must be willing to dig and do the research in order to perceive what the text says before we say to others what it says! It is not about what we think it says; it is about what it really does say! We do not want to be the objects of discussion from 2 Peter (false teachers); rather, we want to honor and glorify our Lord. To read, study, and then teach what the Bible honestly says is so much more impacting and effectual than anything we can make up or assume!
